Hi! My name is Meaghan, and I am currently a third-year student in the four-year Elementary Education program! I was born and raised in Victoria BC and have lived here my entire life. I am the eldest child of 3 which is why I think I love kids so much and hence why I am in the elementary education program and want to be a teacher! I hope to teach the primary grades so somewhere in-between Kindergarten and Grade 2.  In the summer, I spent majority of the time working as a summer camp leader, but I also got to visit Whistler with my family! (Fun fact: I dropped my phone in the lake when canoeing in Whistler). I am currently working as a tutor and after school care teacher! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, eating, shopping, reading, and watching shows. I am taking this course in hopes of completing my certification in educational technology as well as wanting to learn the best ways of bringing technology into my future classroom, and how to teach social media safety to my students. In the future, I plan to do my Masters of Education at UBC and to take what I’ve learned in this course into my future education and teachings!
